Mumbai, Mar 20: ‘Kayutha Kavithe’, the first poetry collection of Anitha P Poojary Thakode, was recently released at Karnataka Sangha’s Samarasa Bhavana in Matunga (West).
Manohar Nayak, director of Lingo IndiaPvt Ltd presided over the function. Honorary secretary of Kannada Sangha Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu released the book.
Babu Shiva Poojary honorary editor of Guruthu monthly, Padmanabha Poojary of Anitha Parivar, Raksha P Poojary and Bhavani Poojary, were present on the dais.
“Poetry should imbibe the qualities of social thinking, only then it will be effectively conveyed. Poems should have the power of building and nurturing human relationship. Poems emerged with emotions. Let more poems come out,” said Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu.
“Poems should not only be for entertainment purpose. It should have the ability to correct the society,” said Babu Poojary.
Manohar Nayak lauded Anitha’s poetry and blessed her to write more poems.
Jokatte Shrinivas briefed about the work, vice president welcomed the guests by offering bouquets. Honorary treasurer Omdas Kannangar welcomed and presented the keynote address. Malathi Chandrakanth thanked and compered the programme.
