Mangalore: Deepak Poojary marks victory with celebratory procession

Mangalore, Mar 15: The city was under prohibitory orders from the day of vote counting on Monday March 11 till Thursday March 14, 2013. This threw a damper on the victory processions planned by many candidates who won in the polls.

The prohibitory orders in the district have been withdrawn and it’s time for celebrations in many places. Deepak Poojary, winning Congress candidate from Kavoor ward 18, took out a grand procession around his ward accompanied by a large number of his followers.

Many vehicles also took part in the grand procession. DJ sets and bands added color to the procession.

The candidate was taken in an open jeep through his ward. The number of people gathered for the procession was an indication of the true efforts, hard work, and trust garnered by Poojary during his two previous consecutive terms as corporator.

The procession was granted tight police security to avoid any untoward incidents.

    Its a Sad thing that people are enjoying the Victory of Deepak Poojari. There are no water drains in Kavoor. All he does is make water flow into each others property if you dont agree he brings a JCB and Breaks the wall when questioned he acts like a local gundda but in corporation he shows his self as a very loyal person. Split personality. Wish he really get someone who can utleast understand english forget about speaking which they cant dream of in their like. Its a pity we have this Corporater and where he does not do any work. Waiting for some improvement in Kavoor and that is possible only when he is changed please dont vote without knowing if the person can help or not
