Jammu, Mar 13 (IANS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday informed the legislative assembly in Jammu that a suicide attack by terrorists on a camp of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the outskirts of Srinagar left five troopers and two guerrillas dead.
Omar Abdullah, who also holds the home portfolio, in a statement on the floor of the house, said: "Fidayeens (suicide attackers) attacked the CRPF attachment at Bemina at 10.45 a.m., and five CRPF jawans (troopers) were killed. Four or five troopers sustained injuries, along with three civilians."
The chief minister added that the attack had been neutralised after two guerrillas were killed.
