Mangalore: Body of man found in half-constructed building

Mangalore, Mar 9: A man was found dead at a half-constructed building near Kankanady market here on Saturday March 9 evening.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. He was about 35 years old.
The body was in a decomposed state and it is suspected that he might have died some three days ago.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
The body was found on the second floor of the building. It is not known how it came to be there.
The construction on the building was reportedly stopped sometime ago due to legal hurdles.
A vendor selling tender coconut near the building grew suspicious when foul smell emanated from the building. He then informed the other locals and the police who rushed to the spot.
Kadri police led by inspector Raghava Padil conducted preliminary investigations.
The body has been shifted to Wenlock for post-mortem.
Kadri police have registered a case.
