Mumbai, Mar 2: The metro based Shanimahatma Seva Samiti organized the 46th annual Shanishwar Pooja at Sai Dham Co-operative Housing Society premises, Khar (East) here recently.
 
The various Vedic rites including Satyanarayana puja, free food offerings were held throughout the day.

 
The Samiti honorary president Sridar Bangera, president Shankar K Suvarna, vice presidents Dasu Shetty and Devendra V Bangera felicitated Billawar Association honorary president Jaya C Suvarna, entrepreneur Bhoja Shetty, Sai Care Logistics Limited managing director Surendra A Poojary and Dayashree S Poojary couple, journalist Rons Bantwal during the stage programme.
 
Raghu Poojary and group staged a devotional singing programme on the occasion.
 
The cultural programmes were staged at Billawar Association auditorium by Samiti’s members, women and children on the following evening.
 
Karnikada Jumadi, Yakshagana play was staged by Gurunarayana Yakshagana troupe led by R D Poojary, Gangadhar J Poojary, Jayaram Shetty, Poornanna Shetty and R D Kotian.
 
Billawar Association president L V Amin was the chief guest of the formal stage programme while Billawar Association Kandivali Committee president Gangadhar J Poojary and Keshav Poojary were the guests of honor. They felicitated Narayan G Kotian, the donor of premises for Kandivali Committee.
 
The Samiti honorary president Sridar Bangera, president Shankar K Suvarna, executive president Bhoja C Poojary, vice presidents Dasu Shetty and Devendra V Bangera, honorary treasurer Nagesh G Suvarna, joint secretaries C N Shetty and Ramesh N Poojary, joint treasurer Vinod Y Hejamady, Puja Committee executive president R D Kotian, secretaries Ramesh Poojary, Chinnaya Shetty, Vishwanat Shetty, Umesh Suratkal, Premanat Shetty, lawyer Somnath Amin and others were present.
