Mumbai, Feb 20 (IANS): A benchmark index for Indian equities markets was trading flat in the 1 p.m. trade session Monday, even as oil and gas and realty stocks rallied.
The 30-scrip Sensex, which opened at 19,717.94 points, was ruling at 19,649.65 points, up 13.93 points or 0.07 percent from its previous close at 19,635.72 points.
The Sensex touched an intra-day high of 19,742.42 points and a low of 19,619.89 points. The midcap index was up 10.30 points, while the smallcap index was higher by 38.73 points.
The wider 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading lower by 7.65 points or 0.13 percent at 5,947.35 points.
