Panaji: “Ek Sanz Songitachi” to be staged on Feb 19

Panaji, Feb 19: All India Radio, Panaji will present a cultural programme “Ek Sanz Songitachi” on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee celebrations on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 6.00 pm at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panjim.

“Ek Sanz Songitachi” is directed by Tomazinho Cardozo and will be staged by his cultural troupe Kala Mogi, Candolim. The programme consists of Konkani songs including folksongs and short skits in Konkani. It features award winning artistes of Kala Mogi Candolim – Irene Cardozo, Joslyn Misquita, Selza Lopes, Simonia Cardozo, Larissa Fernandes, Maria Cardozo, Sandra Cardozo, Violet D’Souza, Stacey Misquita, Valentine Sequeira, Lynne Fernandes, Josepha D’Souza, Joao Cardozo, Edwin Fernandes, Assis Cardozo, Shivanand Naik, Eugenio Cardozo, Dnyaneshwar Morajkar, Anthony Carvalho, Succoro de Santa Cruz, Sheik Amir & Tomazinho Cardozo.

Live music band led by Luis Cota (saxophone) will provide music. The other members of the musical band are: Nolvert Cota (Trumpet), Wilbur Carneiro (keyboard), Amaro Fernandes (base guitar) and  Domnick Araujo (drums).
