The police pointed out that these accused, during their arrest and questioning, had provided fake addresses.
They said that police custody of the accused has been necessitated on account of the need to interrogate them to cull out proper details including their addresses, and also about the money paid to them for contract killing by main accused Ramesh Bayari and Subrahmanya Udupa.
The police also want to conduct a detailed investigation, as they suspect that the accused had made use of some other cell phones. They also propose to bring out other people if any, who had a hand in the plan that was hatched to eliminate Vasudeva Adiga.
The judge, who accepted their request for consideration, will pass orders after hearing the arguments of the advocates representing the accused, it is learnt.
