Sharjah: Sathish Poojary re-elected president of Karnataka Sangha

Sharjah, Jan 28: Sathish Poojary has been unanimously re-elected the president of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, (KSS) for the year 2013, one of the most prestigious Kannada associations working under the Indian Association Sharjah.
In the annual general meeting held recently at Fortune Plaza Hotel, Qusais, the committee members of KSS gathered to elect the new managing committee for the year 2013. The meeting commenced at 9 pm with prayer followed by a formal welcome by patron Mark Denis D’Souza.
Karnataka Sangha Sharjah is a non profitable Socio-Cultural organization established in 2003 by the late Umesh Nanthoor along with some enthusiastic members with an objective to promote Kannada culture in this part of the world as well as to help the unprivileged Kannadigas back home for their educational and medical requirements.
Change of managing committee and oath taking ceremony were conducted smoothly. A few new and prominent personalities have been induced to the managing committee in order to strengthen the association further.
Outgoing general secretary Raju Bhandari submitted the annual report and treasurer Anand Bailoor submitted financial report for the year 2012 before the board.
