Los Angeles, Jan 28 (IANS): Los Angeles Clippers' forward Blake Griffin scored 23 points to help his team end a four-game losing streak with a 96-83 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Clippers rank top three in the NBA at 33-13, two and a half games behind San Antonio. Chris Paul missed his fourth straight game and seventh in the past nine because of a bruised right knee cap. Fortunately, his teammates did a great job Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Griffin showed his talents and charisma in the game where he also had nine assists and five rebounds. Eric Bledsoe had 10 points, five assists and five rebounds, Lamar Odom contributed eight points, 13 rebounds and six assists while Butler added 12 points.
All-Star forward La Marcus Aldridge led the Trail Blazers with 21 points and 11 rebounds. J.J. Hickson finished with 15 points and nine rebounds. Damian Lillard donated 16 points, five assists and two rebounds.
It was Portland's seventh loss in nine games and it came in the second part of a home-and-home set with the Clippers.
