Rio de Janeiro, Jan 27 (IANS): Brazil international midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso scored his first goal since his September move to Sao Paulo to help his team to a 2-1 victory over Atletico Sorocaba in the Campeonato Paulista.
Ganso's 30th-minute header Saturday was followed by a 76th-minute strike from Argentine Marcelo Canete before Fabio Sanches scored a late goal for the visitors at Morumbi Stadium, reports Xinhua.
In Campeonato Carioca here, Bernardo scored twice as Vasco de Gama moved to the top of the standings with a 4-2 victory at Resende.
Meanwhile Botafogo have confirmed former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Clarence Seedorf will make his first appearance of the year against Fluminense at Rio's Engenhao Stadium.
Fluminense will be without Brazil striker Fred and former Portugal star Deco, who have been given an extended break by coach Abel Braga.
