Mumbai auditions of Yaya Ind-Ya Mayaya sees delightful performances

Mumbai, Jan 23: The Mumbai Auditions of ‘Yaya Ind-Ya Mayaya’ – the first all-India Konkani Dance Contest, were successfully conducted on Sunday, January 20 at St Francis MBA College Auditorium, Borivili.
John D’silva, Albert D’souza, Ronald Mendonca, Francis Fernandes Cascia, Walter D’souza, Leo Fernandes and Lawrence D’souza Kamani were on the dais. Albert D’souza declared the auditions open.
Pramod Alva, an eminent dance director and choreographer from Mangalore and Chethan Salian, dance director and choreographer form Mumbai were the judges for the auditions. They also interacted with the teams that were selected and shared their experience with them.
Eric Ozario conducted the proceedings. Louis Pinto served as the final tabulator. Lawrence D’souza Kamani, the local co-ordinator and Charles Veigas were felicitated on the occasion.
The following passed the auditions to represent Mumbai at the semi-finals in Mangalore –

Remila Miranda and Roshan Miranda.
Groups:
Adwitiya Dance Company, Vasai (W).
Maharashtra Konkan Youth Association, Andheri (W).
