Dubai : 'Drama Challenge' - glamorous Radio Spice event

Dubai, Jan 21: In an ode to 100 years of Bollywood and its fabulous leading ladies, 105.4 Radio Spice, together with Swiss Arabian, offered its listeners a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a unique contest to impress Dubai’s select with their Bollywood moves and grooves. The radio station received over 100 entries of which 10 finalists performed before a panel of Dubai’s influentials including renowned fashion designer Juhi Yasmeen Khan and beautician and owner of Aroushi beauty salon, Asha Murthy.
It was a full house with lively, emotionally breath-taking performances at the first ever Swiss Arabian Radio Spice Drama Challenge on Saturday January 19 night where the 10 striking girls showcased their various talents on stage, from delivering Bollywood dialogues to dancing to the melodious Bollywood beats.
But it was the ravishing ballet dancer Sudhakshina who took home the first prize with a brilliant belly dance and a top-notch enacted scene from “No One Killed Jessica”.
The other two girls who impressed the judges with their skills were Fabiola, winning first runner up with a great dance performance on the Omkara number “Beedi”, and Pehnaaz, the ever-favorite “Mehbooba”.
The winner took home an array of spectacular prizes that included designer outfits, couple air tickets to the Far East, jewellery and finally a dazzling tiara valued at AED 10,000.
