Mangalore: Wilson Olivera weaves magic with 33rd Musical Nite

Mangalore, Jan 21: Fans of Konkani music in the city had a gala evening on Sunday January 20 as 'Sangeet Sardar' Wilson Olivera presented an entertaining and memorable 33rd musical nite at Don Bosco Hall here.
The show was organized by Alfred Bennis in association with Pakshikere St Jude Church in aid of Pakshikere St Jude Higher Primary School.
Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest of St Jude Church delivered the introductory remarks and thanked Wilson Olivera as well as Alfred Bennis for presenting the show for a noble cause. He further said that the funds generated by the show will be utilized for the development of St Jude Higher Primary School
Joseph Mathais, V P Lobo, Alfred Bennis, Wilson Olivera and Dolphy Miranda were present on the dais.
Alfred Bennis, Wilson Olivera and the members of Me-Mo-Ri (Mellu-Moras-Richa) team were felicitated on the occasion.
Wilson Olivera weaved magic with his charming voice, sweeping the listeners off their feet with every number. He truly mesmerized his fans who had gathered in large numbers to witness the show.
Apart from Wilson, a host of other well-known singers, namely Prashanth Pinto, Robin Sequeira, Joseph Mathias, Rony Crasta, Zeena Pereira, Carol Monteiro and Stuart Olivera won the audience hearts with their lively performances and beautfiful rendering of Konkani hit numbers.
Well-known songs like Amchea Bapa, Paushillia Disacho Vell, Oh Mhojea Bhangara, Motinth ek Asha, Mai, Bombaichem Chedum, and many other popular numbers captivated the listeners throughout.
A delightful dose of humour was added by the ever-popular Me-Mo-Ri team that had the audience roaring with laughter with their witty jokes.
Naach Sobhann team complemented the occasion perfectly as they grooved to the beat of the music and set the right atmosphere.
The show was compered by Ronald Olivera who kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.
