Kundapur: Police on Lookout for Two Absconding Suspects in Adiga Case

Kundapur, Jan 18: The murder case of RTI activist Vasudeva Adiga has taken another turn, with police now being on the lookout for two persons who have been reportedly absconding.
Reliable sources said that a quarry owner and a temple committee head have been absconding ever since the arrest of the four contract killers in Bangalore on Wednesday January 16.
Police are also on the lookout for Ramesh Bayari, one of the main suspects in the case, who was involved in a land dispute with Adiga. Bayari's brother-in-law Subramanya Udupa is already said to be arrested in the case.
Three of the five arrested were produced in the court on Friday January 18 and remanded in police custody till January 24. They were identified as Raghavendra, Umesh and Naveen from Banashankari, Rajajinagar and Adugodi areas of Bangalore. Prior to be being produced in the court, the three were taken to Kundapur government hospital amid tight security for a medical checkup.
As of now, no further information is available about the other two suspects who were arrested.
Sources said that on Saturday January 19 police may take the accused to the spot where Adiga was allegedly kidnapped on January 7 and interrogate them further on the sequence of events.

Kundapur, Jan 18: Three of the five arrested in the sensational murder case of RTI activist Vasudeva Adiga were on Friday January 18 produced in the court.
The accused identified as Raghavendra, Umesh and Naveen were produced in the court. They have been remanded in police custody till January 24.
The accused will be taken to the spot where Adiga was allegedly kidnapped.
It may be recalled that the police arrested five persons including four contract killers in connection with case on Wednesday January 16 at Adugodi in Bangalore, and brought them to Gangolli police station on Thursday January 17.
The three produced in court are said to be contract killers, who were allegedly paid Rs 25 lac for murdering Adiga.
The fifth person arrested in the case is said to be Subramanya Udupa, brother-in-law of Ramesh Bayari who is also a suspect in the case and is currently absconding.
Vasudeva Adiga was alledgedly kidnapped on January 7 near Goliangadi. Five days later on January 12, his body was found in a mutilated state in a pond at Kadur, Chikmagalur.
