Sao Paulo, Jan 16 (IANS): Brazil football coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said he would not make major changes to the team he inherited from Mano Menezes.

The Selecao's friendly against England at London's Wembley Stadium Feb 6 will be Scolari's first game in charge since being appointed as the national coach for the second time in November, reports Xinhua.

The 64-year-old will announce a 23-man squad for the match at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro Jan 22.

"You are not going to see a new national team," Scolari said during a promotional event Tuesday.

"There will not be many changes made in relation to what everybody has already seen.

"It won't be very different because it's the first chance to have a good look at the players."

Brazil will be without captain Thiago Silva for the Wembley fixture after the 28-year-old injured his left thigh while playing for French club Paris Saint-Germain last Friday.

Menezes was sacked by Brazil's Football Confederation (CBF) last November following a poor run of results which included the team's 1-2 loss to Mexico in the London Olympics final.

Scolari guided Brazil to the 2002 World Cup during his first spell in charge before quitting to coach Portugal the following year.
