Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji Named Successor of Adichunchanagiri Math

Bangalore, Jan 14: Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji was on Monday January 14 chosen as the successor of Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Math.
Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, who brought about a revolution in the field of education, health and religion through his Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust and various other works, passed away on Sunday January 13 after prolonged illness.
Son of Narsaiah Gowda and Nanjamma, he was born on July 20, 1969 at Chirenahalli, Gubbi Taluk. He completed engineering in IIT Chennai, Diploma Mysore.
A disciple of Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji earned his master's degree in Sanskrit Advaita Vidwat. He was initiated into holy 'Sanyasa' order in the year 1998.
Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji has helped to establish and serve institutions ranging from pre-nursery to research centers in rural districts of Karnataka, providing education to more than 14,000 students.
Sri Swamiji has been looking after the religious, social, health care, skill formation and educational activities of Mahasamsthana Math. On spiritual mission, he has visited several countries such as USA, Cambodia, Israel, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
He is also a trustee of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust, secretary of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math and editor and publisher of 'Sri Adichunchanagiri' Monthly Magazine.
