Moodbidri: Alva's Virasat - Classical Dance Captivates Audience on 3rd Day

Moodbidri, Jan 13: 'Alva's Virasat', the four-day national-level cultural fest organized by Alva’s Education Foundation showcased Kuchipudi and various other dance forms on the third day at Shobhabhavan here on Saturday January 12.
Various unique cultural programmes were staged which won the hearts of the audience.
The event was kicked-off on January 10 with a colourful procession. On the same day, Padmabhushan Dr Padma Subramanyam was conferred with the Virasat National Award.
As part of the cultural programme, on the first day 'Raaga Lahari' and unique fusion of music was performed. The second day saw Naada Loka and various forms of classical and folk dances of Orissa performed by 60 artistes of Konark Natya Mantap.
The third day had Kuchipudi performance by Padmabhushan Dr Raja and Padmabhushan Dr Radha along with their team. Diya dance, Gotipua and Chavo forms of dance were performed by 60 artistes of Konark Natya Mantap.
Last day of Virasat
On the last day at Virasat on Sunday January 13, there will be musical nite performed by playback singer and TV serial actor Vijayprakash and M D Pallavi. A Malaysian fusion dance of old and new traditions will be staged later.
