Mangalore: Entertainment Galore as Ferarites Converge for Grand Fest

Mangalore, Jan 13: Ferarites Global Association in collaboration with St Francis Xavier Church, Ferar organized a grand 'Ferar Fest' at the church grounds here on Saturday January 12.
Fr Pius Pinto, chairman, Vincent Pereira, deputy chairman and convener along with other executive committee members of Ferarites Global inaugurated the progamme by cutting the cake and releasing balloons along with other guests.
James Mendonca, Leo Rodrigues, Pradeep Barboza, Fr Stany Fernandes, Fr Paul Rego, Fr Ronald D'Souza, Fr Joseph Lobo, Fr Rosario Fernandes among others were guests of honor.
On the occasion, Ferarites Global Association felicitated two eminent personalities - Leo Rodrigues, NRI entrepreneur from Abu Dhabi and Pradeep Barboza, dramatist from Dubai.
Acknowledging the honour, Leo Rodrigues and Pradeep Barboza thanked the association for honouring them and wished Ferarites Global luck in all their future endeavours.
James Mendonca in his address appreciated the initiative taken by the association in organizing such a meaningful programme, wherein NRI Ferarites have planned to celebrate the occasion with their parishioners. He lauded the association for all their social and cultural work in Dubai and other parts and wished them good luck.
Fr Pius Pinto in his presidential address expressed his gratitude for the efforts put in by the association founder Vincent Pereira and his team. Wishing all the best to the parishioners working abroad, he added, "There is lack of unity in society, but the association through all its activities is uniting people together, which is indeed a commendable task."
"Let us join our hands together with this association so that more people will be benefited," he said.
Vincent Pereira welcomed the gathering, Lancy Cutinho compered while William D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks.
The highlight of the evening was 'Sangon Mugdana', a two-and-a-half-hour comedy play staged by Dolla and team. The play written by Pradeep Barboza, directed by Adolfus Cutinho (Dolla) won the hearts of the audience with its wit and humour, and the remarkable performances of the artistes.
Claude musical nite together with dance performances by parishioners added a generous dose of entertainment to the evening.
