Moodbidri: 13 Including School Children Injured as Mini Bus Topples

Moodbidri, Jan 9: Thirteen persons including children were injured as a tourist bus which was on excursion from a school in Mandya toppled after the driver lost control near Maroor Guddalangadi on Tuesday January 8.
Students of Mandya primary school on Monday January 7 visited Kateel temple and stayed overnight. On Tuesday, the bus which left for Dharmasthala at 7.30 am toppled after crossing Moodbidri.
Speeding and negligence by the driver is said to have caused the accident.
The injured have been identified as driver N Krishnappa, cleaner Sayyed Ahmed, students – Yashaswini, Pallavi, Sachin, Gautham, two cooks, teachers – Nagalaxmi, Vedashree, Ravi, Jagadish, Lingaraj are injured.
A case is registered at Moodbidri police station.
