Rome, Jan 5 (IANS): At least six Russians were killed and two others injured when a snowcat vehicle lost control and went over a 100-metre cliff in Italy, Xinhua reported Saturday.
The accident took place in the northern Trentino region mountains.
The Russian were travelling from the Cermis mountain on board a rented snowcat.
But the vehicle lost control and went off the road. All the passengers were thrown off into a cliff, police officer Stefano Sandri told Sky television.
Five rescue teams were working on the spot, but the bumpy road and the snow made the rescue operations difficult. The two injured were taken to a hospital.
