Mumbai, Jan 4: Mother Mary is the Mother of our Lord Jesus God Almighty and Mother of all and the role of Mother Mary and the reason why Mother Mary waschosen by God as a Mother was the message of New Year celebration.

On this occasion Fr Arwin Tauro preached a vibrant sermon and invited the faithful to build a new world without any kind of discrimination and live a life filled with hope and optimism.

The New Year service began with adoration at 8:30 pm. Carmelite Brothers led prayers during the Holy Hour. The solemn Eucharistic celebration began at 9:30 pm by the main celebrant Fr Arwin Tauro along with Fr Dominic Vas, Fr Michael, Fr Agnelo, Fr Ivan and Fr Ivo. Soon after the mass Parish Priest Fr Dominic Vas wished everyone fruitful new year with newness of life.

Best crib and star competition prizes were also distributed to the communities by the dignitaries on this solemn occasion.

The Parishioners with family and friends to share their joy as they bid goodbye for the year 2012 and welcomed the New Year with New year Blast. It looked as though there was no better way to bid goodbye for the year gone by than to party and have loads of fun.

It was a night out that gave an opportunity to forget the miseries of the past and to look forward with hope for the year ahead. Well dressed men and women and boys and gals had a gala time partying, dancing to the best of music and making the best use of the festive atmosphere. For the young crowd it was a night filled with loads of fun and joy.

New year Solemn mass was attended by a large number of christians, all gave thanks for the year gone by and asked blessings of the lord for the coming year. The new year blast added an extra zing and vibrancy to the celebrations of New Year.
