Mumbai, Dec 24: The 72nd annual celebration of Saphalya Seva Sangh Mumbai was held at Dr M Vishweshwaraiah hall of Karnataka Sangha in Matunga (West) on Sunday December 23.
Vishwan Pernamkila, chief temple priest of Shree Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple inaugurated the programme by lighting the auspicious lamp.
The programme was presided over by Narayan R Mendon, president of Sangh while Devdas B Rao, president of Dhanishta group of companies and Jaya K Shetty, president of Seva Bharathi Mumbai were the guests of honour.
On the occasion, the Sangh honoured Karnataka Rajyotsava award winner Moghaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali. The honor was received by vice president Sanjeeva S Salian.
Members of the association and kids entertained the audience through various cultural programmes. As part of the entertainment programme, ‘Pokkade Galaate’ a Tulu drama directed by Srinath Mulki was staged by Navodaya Kalaaranga Mumbai.
