Mumbai: 'Konknni Kala Manch' Launched to Promote Konkani Culture

Mumbai, Dec 20: New Konkani organization 'Konknni Kala Manch' was launched on Tuesday December 18 at its office Vineeta CHSL, Andheri East, Mumbai at 7 pm.

The main motto of the new organization is to popularise Konkani culture and its stage art by presenting various quality shows every year in various parts of Mumbai and its suburbs.

Following are the office bearers of the new organization:

President: A Clement Lobo, Chakala
Secretary: Ancy D'Souza Paladka, Vasai
Treasurer: Harry Sequiera, Sion
Co-ordinator: Charles D'Cunha, Borivli

Speaking on the occasion, president Clement Lobo said. "In today's television world Konkani stage art is dying. Reviving this stage art by organizing quality programmes of Konkani world is our main aim and objective. We want our Konkani activities to flourish in our metropolitan city. Any Konkani artiste who wants to perform his show in and around Mumbai may always contact us."
 
Secretary Ancy D'Souza Paladka welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Harry Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks. Co-ordinator Charles D'Cunha beautifully compered the programme.
