Mangalore, Dec 7: The spirit of Christmas came alive at St Joseph's Church grounds, Bajpe here on Friday December 7, with White Doves presenting a vibrant and meaningful play on the life of Jesus Christ.
This is the 18th year that White Doves has been presenting mobile tableaux depicting episodes and stories from the Bible. This time the play was titled '2000-Year-Old Fact in a Mobile Act'.
More than 150 artistes, from a 40-day-old baby to a 65-year-old, peformed in the play.
The one-and-a-half hour play had the audience spellbound with its beautiful depiction of the life of Jesus, right from his birth to how his teachings changed people's lives. The play emphasized that only God can solve any problem and no one else can take His position, and that He is superior to all.
The play conveyed the message of love peace through a delightful medley of music, dance and drama. The stage was beautifully decorated with colourful lights and backdrops.
Carol singing and arrival of Santa Claus added more charm and joy to the occasion.
The tableau then moved on to Kinnigoli where the same play was presented. White Doves will also showcase the tableau on Saturday December 8 at Father Muller Ground and at Suratkal, followed by Nehru Maidan and Padua High School Grounds on Sunday December 9.
