New Delhi, Dec 5 (IANS): Sports Minister Jitendra Singh Wednesday said the government will talk to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) over the suspension of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
"It is not the government's mandate to interfere in it, but we will talk with the IOC," Sports Minister Jitendra Singh told media persons Wednesday at the Parliament House complex.
He said he had warned the IOA to amend its constitution, and added that it was no more time for levelling allegations but to take action.
"The problem is that despite of what IOC said, IOA did not amend its constitution," he said, "but instead of blaming one another, let us resolve this situation."
The minister added that if the proposed sports bill would have been passed, this problem would not have arisen.
