Speaking after releasing the book, IFKCA Mangalore unit president Roy Castelino said that J F D’Souza has been rendering commendable service to the field of Konkani language and literature. "It is a laudable work to write books for children. This indeed helps the children to be familiar with the Konkani language," he added.
"Books help in the intellectual development of the children and enhance their knowledge. Nowadays, children are lured towards internet and television, but there are lots of unwanted things in such media that makes them take a negative path. Such books will encourage them to inculcate the habit of reading and lead them in the right and positive path," he added.
J M F D’Souza said that he was inspired to write by Dolphy. "He was the one who encouraged me to write and in fact, publish the book," he said.
He also congratulated all those who helped him in the publication of all his books.
