New Delhi, Nov 23 (IANS): Senior Indian Police Service officer Ranjit Sinha will be the new director of Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI officials said Friday.
Sinha will take the charge of the federal investigating agency Dec 1 after the present incumbent A.P. Singh retires Nov 30.
Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar, who challenged in Central Administrative Tribunal the Central Vigilance Commission's decision not to include his name in the list for the top CBI post, has withdrawn his plea.
