Mangalore: Sri Rama Sene Calls for CBI Probe into Sowjanya Case

Mangalore, Nov 21: Sri Rama Sene on Wednesday November 21 demanded CBI probe into the rape and murder case of Sowjanya in Pangala, Dharmasthala last month.
Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday November 21, Rama Sene state spokesperson Madhukar Mudradi said that Sowjanya's was found in the Nethravati surroundings near to Dharmasthala. "Only one person has been arrested in this regard and police are hiding things," he alleged.
"This is not the first time such an incident has taken place in the vicinity. None of the cases have been solved completely, hence Sri Rama Sene urges the administration to hand over this case to CBI," he said.
It may be mentioned here that the state government has already handed over the case to CoD.
On Pakistan terrorist Ajmal Kasab's death, he said, "Sri Rama Sene is happy to hear the news of the Kasab being hanged today. The entire procedure was kept a secret - this sort of thing happens only in America, but it has happened in our country. If the operation had been revealed earlier, there would have been good chances of him escaping punishment," he said.
"President Pranab Mukherjee has taken the right step in this regard, and stood with the nation," he added
Referring to the issue of Datta Peeta he said, "C T Ravi has been playing foul games with regard to the Datta Peeta issue. He should join the Datta Maala Abhiyana organized by the Sri Ram Sene, if his fight for Datta Peeta is genuine and true."
"Government has been supporting Hajj pilgrims in a number of ways, but the government has not done anything for the lacs of people who take part in the Shabarimala Yatre. The government should at least start a few free buses for poor piligrims and give concession at check posts," he urged.
Ganesh Attavar, Yogish Farangipete, Madhusudhan Urwastore and Praveen Mudigere were present.
