Kundapur: Panchayats Should Render Transperant Administration - Kota Poojary

Kundapur, Nov 16: The newly-built 'Suvarna Soudha' building of Paduvari gram panchayat was inaugurated by minister of port and muzrai Kota Srinivas Poojary at Byndoor here on Friday November 16. The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 8 lac.
Addressing the gathering, Poojary said that the gram panchayat should work like a government in itself. "When the gram and zilla pnachayats render efficient administration, they enable the state and central governments to function smoothly," he said.
"Gram panchayats should be transparent in their administration. In Karnataka there are 5,628. The government has sanctioned Rs 2 crore and Rs 1 crore for the taluk panchayat to carry out development works. Paduvari panchayat has been sanctioned an initial fund Rs 27 crore for setting up drinking water project," he said.
He congratulated the president of Paduvari gram panchayat and its members.
Former Paduvari gram panchayat president Suresh Batwadi welcomed. Sudhakar Byndoor compere while Manjunath proposed the vote of thanks.
