Mumbai, Nov 7: REACH (Ready to Educate and Accept Challenges of Humanity), a registered social organization of Mira road, recently celebrated its anniversary at Green Meadows, Sheetal Nagar, Mira road, here.

‘Konkani Purvozanchem Daiz’ is the major project of the organization that works for the revival of Konkani culture and traditions. They conduct ‘ROCE’ programmes of Konkani speaking people in a traditional manner introducing the traditional values and articles that are mostly in extinct today.

The programme started with a traditional welcome of ‘Pan Podd – Udok’. Slide shows of various activities of the association of past one year were shown. The chief guest of the programme Fr Dominic Vas appreciated the tasks of the association and expressed his happiness over its fast growth.

Recently elected local corporator Merlin D'Sa, Konkani compere Clament Lobo, Philomena Lobo, Divo editor Lawrence Coelho, Suzan Coelho, Konkani artist Harryboy, ‘Krista Jivit’ fame Konkani worker Lawrence Castelino, dramatist Molly Lobo were also present at the occasion.

Merlin D'Sa proposed the vote of thanks; Michael Fernandes compered the programme. The programme ended with singing anthem of the organization.
