Mangalore: 'BJP Achieved in Four Years What Congress Could Not in 50'

Mangalore, Nov 3: "When we consider the life of successful people in history, it clearly shows that nothing is impossible, everything is possible if one puts efforts to reach one's goal. When Moghals were ruling, to defeat them Hakka Bukka built Vijayanagara dynasty under the leadership of Vidhyaranya. Nethaji Subashchandra Bose founded INA and Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Deendayal Upadhyaya founded the Bharthiya Jana Sangh. Nothing is impossible if one has a strong will power," said legislative assembly deputy speaker Yogish Bhat.
He spoke after inaugurating the district-level BJP workers' convention at Sanghanikethan here on Satuday November 3.
Regarding development of the state, he said, "What Congress could not do in 50 years of Independence, BJP has done in four years. The BJP government has provide various schemes like Bhagyalakshmi, Sandhya Suraksha and Sakala for the people and even provided loans to farmers at low interest rates."
Krishnamurthy, state president of SC Yuva Moorcha said BJP has implemented many developmental programmes for the welfare and betterment of SC and ST communities. "When Yeddurappa was the chief minister he released crores for the development SC/ST and other backward classes. After him chief minister Sadananda Gowda released 720 crores for the development ST and SC," he said.
"Today’s convention is to strengthen the party at the booth level and get ready for next election.
Addressing the BJP party workers, Padmanabha Kottary, district president of BJP said, "We should work actively and make our party strong, and create awareness among the people about the corruption made by Congress leaders."
Banuprakash, vice-president of district BJP, said the party has planned to hold district-level party workers' meet in every district of the state. "The party will fight against corruption of Congress and create awareness among the people in every constituency. From December 20 to 31 booth-level workers convention will be held in every constituency," he said.
He also commented on Tumkur MLA Basavaraj and said, "Basavaraj criticizing BJP leaders is not fair and it is against the principles of the party. I request the disciplinary committee of party to take the strict action." On Yeddyurappa he said BJP wants Yeddyurappa to continue in the party.
Sanjeeva Matandoor, Sullia constituency MLA Angara, MLA Mallika Prasad Bhandary, MLC Monappa Bhandary, Amithakala, and Korragappa Naika were present.
