Karaval Milan-Dubai to Host Udupi District-level Cricket Tournament

Dubai, Nov 1: Karaval Milan - Dubai (Udupi district) an association of various parishes from coastal region of Udupi diocese has joined hands with 'Prerana - United Friends - Kolalgiri' a like-minded youth group from Kolalgiri - Udupi, to organize a district-level cricket tournament for people from all corners of Udupi district.

A two-day weekend carnival for 'Karaval Milan Trophy' will be held on December 16 and December 23. The tournament will begin at Government High School Ground, Kolalgiri on December 16, and on December 23, a grand closing ceremony and distribution of prizes will be held.

While the winning team will take away a cash prize of Rs 11,111 and a glittering trophy , Rs 5,555 and a trophy is on stake for the runners-up spot. Besides, many other prizes like Man of the Series, Man of the Match, Best Batsman, Best Bowler will be awarded.

One of the pioneering associations established in the UAE, Karaval Milan - Dubai (Udupi district) has always led by example wherein charity and social causes are concerned.

This time along with charity, Karaval Milan has taken a step further in bringing peace and communal harmony among all castes and creeds of Udupi diocese, taking a leaf out of the example set by the Bishop of newly formed Udupi diocese.

Prerana as its logo says “A Ray of Hope” has been living up to it motto and has thus become a Ray of Hope for the people of the vicinity.

Teams who wish to participate in this mega event should register their teams before December 8 at designated places mentioned below by paying a part entry fee of Rs 250 out of Rs 800.

Only 32 teams will be selected on first-come-first-serve basis.
