Mangalore: Bejai-Kapikad Residents Approach Dist Admin for Better Roads
Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (VM)
Mangalore, Oct 30: The residents of Bejai-Kapikad submitted an appeal to higher officials on Tuesday October 30 calling their attention to the bad roads, poor maintenance and the pathetic condition of the area.
Speaking to Daijiworld, one of the residents said that Kapikad 8th cross road has not been laid anew or repaired with interlock since seven years.
The residents have approached their BJP corporator Praveen (ex-mayor) several times, but in vain.
The water pipes broken at several places in the area have worsened the situation as the water flows non-stop in the area.
To make matters even worse, labourers who are working at a construction site in the area have let the water utilized by them to the road, because of which people find it difficult to walk. Unable to bear their frustration any longer, the residents of Bejai-Kapikad decided to break their silence and approached higher officials.
The corporator is least bothered about the maintenance of the area, alleged the residents.
They have submitted the appeal to Harish Kumar, commissioner of MCC, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Amithakala, deputy mayor, Padmanabha Kottari, district BJP president, Srikar Prabhu, Deepak Poojary and others.
