Moodbidri: Navodaya Trust to Introduce Special Schemes for Youth

Moodbidri, Oct 27: "On behalf of Navodaya Gram Vikas Charitable Trust, special higher education and self-employment schemes will be implemented during Diwali for youth who have completed 18 years of age," said M N Rajendra Kumar, managing trustee of Navodaya Trust and president of SCDCC Bank.
He was addressing the gathering at the uniform distribution programme for the members of Navodaya Self-help groups at Samaja Mandir here on Friday October 26.
He further said that since inception the Navodaya Trust has resgistered 3 lac members in five districts, out of which women were in majority. "Soon there will be a convention of 30,000 members in Moodbidri," he added.
He also said that K Amarnath Shetty, Dr M Veerappa Moily and Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala were his role models.
On the occasion, former minister K Amarnath Shetty distributed uniforms to six Navodaya group members. The programme was graced by Sri Bhattaraka Charukeerthi Swamiji of Jain Mutt.
S Kotian, director of SCDCC Bank welcomed the gathering, Mohan Das G Prabhu Sanoor compered and Narayan MS proposed the vote of thanks.
Vinaykumar Soorinje, vice-president of SCDCC bank, Rohan Monteiro, MD of Property Infra Tech, Gopalkrishna Bhat, Navodaya trustees Monappa Shetty Yekkaru, Sunil Kumar Bajgoli, Sudhir Hegde among others were present.
