Kundapur, Oct 26: The body of Riyan, the 13-year-old who was washed away by the waves at Kodi beach here on Friday October 26, was found late night.
Riyan was a relative of brothers Syed Mohammed and Abdul Khader, who drowned while trying to save Riyan.

After an intense search, the body was found at around 11.30 pm.
Riyan was the son of Ahmed Rafique, a businessman based in Mumbai, and Mumtaz. He was a 9th standard student of Milagres School in Mangalore. He has a brother and a sister.
Syed Mohammed was the general manager (operations head) in Vishwas Bawa Builders in Mangalore. He is survived by his wife and five children.
Abdul Khader was into real estate business. He was settled with his wife and two children in Bangalore.
The last rites will be held on Saturday October 27.

Kundapur: Bakrid Festivity Turns Tragic - Two Drown, Boy Missing
Bakrid festivities of a family turned tragic after two brothers drowned and a boy went missing while swimming at Kodi beach here on Friday October 26.
The deceased have been identified as Syed Mohammed (62) and his brother Abdul Khader (58). The missing boy is Riyan (13), a relative of Syed's wife.
The three of them had been to the beach for an outing on account of Bakrid. As the tide was high, Riyan was washed away by the waves. Syed and Abdul rushed to his rescue. The locals who were at the spot shouted for help
M K Arif, a businessman who was on his way to Koteshwar from his house also rushed to save the boy. However, he too was caught in the waves.
The locals then used a boat and began the rescue operation on their own. They brought back Syed, Abdul and Arif and immediately shifted them to hospital. While Arif is recovering in Chinmayee, Syed and Abdul breathed their last in Kundapur Vinaya hospital.
Riyan is yet to be found, and it is feared he may have drowned.
