Mangalore, Oct 26: Rich tributes were paid to Manmohan Malli, city based realtor here in Kodialguthu Late Devaki Chikkappa Rai Memorial Hall, Kavoor on Friday October 26.
The 52-year-old businessman served as the administrative trustee of Shree Mahalingeshwara Temple, Kavoor. The condolence meet was organized by the temple.
After paying tribute to the deceased builder, Shree Ananthpadmanaba (Asrannaru), Kateel Temple said, “Manmohan Malli was known for his practical way of thinking and was not behind publicity”. Malli was a soft spoken person who lived an exemplary life, contributing to social causes, he added.
Srinivas Bhat, chief priest of Shree Mahalingeshwara Temple expressed regret over the sudden demise of Malli, administrative trustee of the temple. “After taking up the post of trustee, the temple saw tremendous development”. All this was only possible because of Malli, he said.
“Though he was rich and popular, he was humble and worked for the upliftment of this temple”, he added.
Speaking on the occassion, AJ Shetty, builder and close associate of Manmohan Malli said, “Since 25 years, I have closely known Manmohan Malli, and his sudden demise has saddened all of us. We deeply mourn the loss of our friend and we convey our condolences to the bereaved family", he said.
Recalling his days with Malli, he said, “Malli was true gaiety, who used to visit Kateel temple every Friday and would frequently visit Thirupathi temple to offer prayers.”
“Manmohan Malli might have left us behind, but he is still alive in our memories. Malli worked for the betterment of the community as he grew wealthier and did not live just for himself", said KC Nayak of Mahabaleshwar Builders
Paying tribute to the deceased realtor, Prakash Bhandary, ACP of Mumbai, Shashidhar Hegde, Ex Mayor and others also spoke on the occasion, sharing their rich experience with Manmohan Malli.
