Udupi: Brahmavar Resident Henry D'Almeida Drowns at Yennehole

Udupi, Oct 23: A resident of Brahmavar lost his life while bathing in a river here on Tuesday October 23.
Henry D'Almeida (65), from Baikady in Brahmavar drowned in Yennehole at around 1 pm.
Henry along with his son Patson and others had been working in their coconut plantation. After finishing their work they went to bath in the river.
It is said that Henry was bathing a little further away, when all of a sudden he was pulled towards the deeper part of the waters. He lost consciousness and drowned.
The fire brigade was called and with the help of the locals the body was fished out. Henry was rushed to Mahesh hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
Henry is survived by his wife Theresa, sons Gladson, Patson, Aanson and granddaughter Hansika.
Henry had been working abroad earlier and had settled in Baikady some years back.
Brahmavar police have registered a case.
