Mangalore: Talents, Style Aplenty at FMMC 'El Dorado' Fest

Mangalore, Oct 22: 'El Dorado', an inter-batch cultural fest organized at Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) was inaugurated at FMMC premises here on Monday October 22.
Inaugurating the fest, chief guest Dr Ajay Kamath, department of ophthalmology, KMC hospital said that students should take part in cultural activities too while pursuing their academic interests.
"Extracurricular activities spur the brain to think creatively and help in the all-round development of an individual," he said.
Fr Patrick D’Souza in his presidential note quoted from the Gospel 'No one after lighting a lamp covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see the light', and said, "Your talents must come to light and should enlighten you. That way, you gain confidence."
"Those who have come to watch this event will also gain knowledge, which will be really helpful to them in life," he added.
Dr Pavan Hegde introduced the chief guest.
Fr Denis D'Sa, Dr J P Alva, Rudolf D’Sa, Dr Namritha Patrao, Sheen Jacob were present on the occasion.
