Celebration Galore at Mangalore University, Students' Union Inaugurated

Mangalore, Oct 20: The Mangalore University inaugurated the Student’ Union and celebrated 'Talents Day-2012' here at the Mangala auditorium recently.
After inaugurating the occasion, M R Vasudev, director of Mangalore Airport said, “Academic works never occur in practical work, and they are not there present in reality either,however, it provides enough confidence and ample knowledge to form a better personality”.
He also advised the students saying that, “A degree certificate is not everything unless there is an exposure of the external environment and extracurricular activities” he said.
“You have to market your talent and do not be shy”, he advised the students stressing the point ‘prepare yourself’ during the academics to face to the society.
Directing his speech towards youth, MR Vasudev said, “The Mangaloreans are happy with the tag ‘intelligent people’, and hence don’t put extra efforts to achieve success”.
Encouraging the students he added, “Hot blood is flowing in your veins; this is the time to put lot of hard work".
In the presidential address, TC Shivshanakar Murthy, vice chancellor of Mangalore University said, “Education must create character among the students and asked students to get into administrative services and aspire for greater heights”.
Extending complete support to the student’s welfare, he said “The management always welcomes the opinion of the students for more facilities and better infrastructure.
AMA Khader, director of Student Welfare Council read the oath for the newly elected office bearers of student’s union-2012.
Hilson D’Souza, president of student’s union welcomed the dignitaries and Yadapadithaya, registrar also spoke at the occasion.
