Mumbai, Oct 17: The IITC (India International Trade Center) students displayed their works of brilliance at the IITC annual fashion show held recently at Grand Ball Room, The Leela in Andheri-E, here.
S K Urval founder director-CEO inaugurating the show along with his sons - director Vikrant Urval and Sandesh Urval and the honourable chairman, The Leela Group of Hotels Capt C P K Nair the guest of Honour.
The show featured 13 new collections created by IITC'S senior fashion design students under the supervision of Rina Urval and Neha Urval. The garments were ramp-walked by renowned runway models like Shona Raval, Priyanka Shah, Shipra Mallik, Aryan Vaid, Umaesh Pherwani and many more while the upcoming bollywood star Rajneish Duggal walked as the showstopper. This year's senior class is packed with talented designers whose cutting-edge creations are aimed at a wide variety of audiences. The results are 13 distinct, highly innovative collections.
IITC'S fashion design program was an idea-driven, craft-based course of study that emphasized design concepts and skill development. The goal was to produce designers of daring originality willing to explore across disciplines and contribute to fashion as an aspect of modern art and culture. Students gain technical expertise in pattern making, draping and fashion illustration. The show provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate and express their creativity and marked their foray into the fashion industry.
The show was attended by prominent personalities like renowned fashion critic Meher Castelino, Brinda Parekh, Kulraj Randhwa, Sudhanshu Pandey, MP Sanjay Dina Patil and Asif Bhamla to name a few.
