Mangalore, Oct 8: The flag bearers along with 754 members reached Kudroli temple at 6 pm. People from Haleangadi, Mukka, Suratkal, Kulai, Kottara Chowki, Urvastore and Ladyhill joined the walk. Women were present in a large numbers.
H S Sairam, temple president, treasurer Padmaraj R, Urmila Ramesh Kumar, J V Seetaram, Harikrishna Bantwal, Deepak Kotian on behalf of Kudroli temple received the people. Abhayachandra Jain was also present.
From Ladyhill the jatha reached the temple and the flags were handed over to B Janardhan Poojary, former union minister and managing trustee of the temple. The flags were handed over to the temple priest after offering puja to Shree Narayanaguru.
Poojary lauded the people who walked 32 kms spreading the message of Brahmashri Narayana Guru and said that it was an excellent programme. Poojary also announced that the ‘Hore Kanike’ procession will be carried out from Nehru Maidan on 14 October to Kudroli and urged the people to participate in large numbers.

Mangalore, Oct 7: Yuvavahini, Mulky organized a 'Shatadhwaja' walk (walk holding 100 flags) from Mulky to Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, Kudroli to mark the centenary celebrations of the Temple.
The walk was inaugurated by Seetharam, proprietor of J V Sons on Sunday October 7.
Harikrishna Bantwal, Vinaykumar Sorake, Abhayachandra Jain, Dhananjay Mattu, Chandrashekatr Suvarna, Yuvavahini central committee president, members of Billawa Sanagatanegala Yekikarana Samithi, Yuvavahini units of Haleyangadi, Hejamadi, Padubidri, Kinnigoli, Surathkal, Billawa associations and others were present.
Hundreds of people were a part of the walk. They will reach Kudroli Temple the same evening.
The centenary celebrations will be flagged off by Congress national president Sonia Gandhi on October 18 and she will also offer puja. As part of the celebrations, on October 19 and 20, ‘Bramakalashosatava’ will be held at the temple.
On Sunday October 14, as part of the Bramakalashosatava, Horakanike (offerings) will be brought to the temple in a procession from the Neharu Maidan which will begin at 3 pm. The Horakanike (offerings) is expected from Coastal and Malnada regions. Culture programme will be also held in the evenings from October 16 to 23 in Santhoshi Kala Mantapa.
