NEW DELHI, Oct 6 (TOI): The price of cooking gas (LPG) has been hiked by Rs 11.42 per cylinder following government decision to raise commission paid to dealers.
Earlier this week, Indian oil marketing firms increased non-subsidised cooking gas prices by 17% to Rs 877.5 per cylinder and have decided to revise the retail selling price of the 14.2-kg non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinder every month based upon the international LPG prices.
Consumers will be forced to cough up more than double the subsidised cooking gas prices as the government has restricted the supply of subsidised domestic LPG cylinders at six cylinders per annum with effect from September 14.
