Berlin, Oct 6 (IANS): German coach Joachim Loew selected his 22-man team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in group C against Ireland and Sweden.
Joachim Loew left the squad almost unchanged except three changes with regards to the last two qualifier matches.
Bayern midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger returns to the squad after his absence against Faroe Islands and Austria due to muscular issues, reports Xinhua.
"We gave him a break to get into form and to find his rhythm. I am very happy that Bastian is with us again," Loew said Friday.
Schalke's Julian Draxler and Dortmund's Ilkay Guendogan will be out of action owing to their injuries. Draxler suffered a bruised wrist against Montpellier at the UEFA Europa League and Guendogan suffered a compression of his lumbar column.
"That's bitter for Julian but I think he will return to the pitch very soon," said Loew.
