Mangalore: Hoax Bomb Threat Delays Train by Four Hours

Mangalore, Oct 6: A bomb threat call which later turned out to be hoax delayed a train by four hours here on Thursday October 4 night.
The call was made by Anush (26) hailing from Ernakulum.
The train plying to Ernakulam stopped at Suratkal railway station on Thursday midnight.
Anush called the Manipal railway police stating that there was a bomb planted in the train. He also said that there was another bomb lodged near the Karwar railway track.
Police after investigation said that the person who informed them about the bomb scare was mentally ill and asked the passengers not to worry.
Nevertheless, the train had to stop for about four hours in Suratkal railway station for inspection.
