Mangalore, Oct 1: The members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike submitted a memorandum to the district commissioner urging for more buses.
Earlier majority of the poor, working people and students depended on the private buses. But with the efforts of Karnataka Rakshane Vedike and other organizations, the government started its own transportation services.
But unfortunately, the owners of private buses are trying to gain their rights over the transportation. Hence, on this issue, the Rakshana Vedike staged a protest and alerted the government.
They also demanded for the following bus services-
Mangalore central railway station to Mudipu
Mangalore central railway station to Talapady
Mangalore central railway station to Bajpe Airport
Mangalore to Vittal through Mudipu
Mangalore to Moodbidri
Mangalore to Suratkal additional
Mangalore to Adyar additional
Mangalore to Ullal
Mangalore to Bellanringe Kenya through Nattekal
Mangalore to Mudipu through Manjanady
Mangalore to New Padpu through Madaka
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike district president Mohandas Rai, chief guest Kadhar Talapadi, vice president Ismail Mangalore, Vidhanasabha constituency Nazir Mohuiddin, Madhusudan A R, Ashraf, Arun, Nithesh and Jalil were present during the occasion.
