Mangalore, Oct 1: The great humanitarian saint who remains in the hearts of thousands, Shree Narayanaguru, founded Shree Kudroli Gokernatheshwara temple in Coastal Karnataka.
Shree Narayanaguru gathered several people with a single thought without violence, hatred or dispute. ‘One community, one religion, one god’ was his thought. He told the main intention of human life in three sentences and became the ‘Jagadguru’ and great humanitarian of the world.
Today, Kudroli Gokernatheshwara temple has fulfilled his dreams and it has been planned to celebrate its centenary more devotionally, joyfully and prosperously. This year, the temple authorities have planned to celebrate Dasara Mahotsava in a grand and attractive way.
From the past 21 years Dasara Mahotsava is being celebrated under the leadership of B Janardhana Poojary and this year it will be an auspicious one as its centenary is also celebrated on same occasion, stated the press release.
Navaratri Utsava will be celebrated from October 16 to 25. On Tuesday October 16, the colourful, attractive, Navadurge and Sharadha Mathe idols will be simultaneously installed at Swarna Mantapa and special rituals and puja will be performed at 11.30 am.
To bring social harmony and promote the thoughts of Shree Narayanaguru who said “Humanity is the world religion”, B Janardhana Poojary will organize the Dasara Mahotsava. The idols Sharada Mathe and Navadurge, the symbols of knowledge and power will be installed and prayers will be offered for nine days.
On behalf of the centenary celebrations, on Friday October 19 and 20, ‘Bramakalashosatava’ will be held at the temple.
On Sunday October 14, on behalf of Bramakalashosatava, Horakaneke (offerings) will be brought to the temple in a procession from the Neharu Maidan which will begin at 3 pm. The Horakaneke (offerings) is expected from Coastal and Malnada regions. Culture programme will be also held in the evenings from October 16 to 23 in Santhoshi Kala Mantapa.
The famous and historical Dasara Mahotsava and centenary celebration will be inaugurated by one of the prominent persons of India.
The state roads in which procession is carried out will be decorated with colourful special electric lamps and flowers. People belonging to different caste and creed will attend this function from various parts of the world, the press release stated.
