Chandigarh, Sep 20 (IANS): The nationwide shutdown call by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and left parties evoked mixed response in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh Thursday.

In Chandigarh, shops were slowly opening in some sectors Thursday morning.
