Two Dead, 100 Injured in Pakistan Train Collision


Islamabad, Sep 17 (IANS): At least two people were killed and over 100 others were injured in Pakistan early Monday when two passenger trains collided.

The accident took place around 4 a.m. in Bin Qaisim town, about 50 km from Karachi, when the Shalimar Express rammed into the rear of Millat Express that was standing on the track due to some technical problem, Xinhua reported.

Both trains derailed after the collision.

The injured were shifted to Karachi's Jinnah Hospital. The rescue work was underway as some passengers were trapped inside the compartments.
