Moscow, Sep 16 (IANS/RIA Novosti): The Russian women's football team recorded a resounding 6-0 win away against Macedonia in a Euro 2013 qualifier.
The result keeps Russia in second place in Group I behind Italy and increases the team's chances of gaining the automatic spot for best runner-up, thus avoiding a play-off.
Natalia Shlyapina propelled Russia forward with a hat-trick, while Nelli Korovkina hit the target twice and Olesya Mashina also scored Saturday.
Russia's next and final group stage qualifier is at home to third-placed Poland Sep 19.
